Lost Horse Hideaways started with a group of friends that were all in the music industry. Each of us spent time getting away from the crazy of that world and the city by heading out Joshua Tree to clear our heads.

Climbing became a big part of those trips. The houses are all named after climbing routes or climbing areas inside the park. Even our name “Lost Horse Hideaways” comes from the Lost Horse Area inside of Joshua Tree. (Check out the wild back story associated with the Lost Horse Mine here.)

We wanted to share the magic of the desert with as many people as possible and give them a quiet, stylish and comfortable place to call home while they’re visiting.
